Attorney Christina Nankervis

Senior Associate

Christina Nankervis is a fierce litigator who has devoted nearly a decade of her practice exclusively to matrimonial and family law, along with misdemeanor criminal defense. She thrives in the courtroom, and clients who retain Christina know they have an advocate who is prepared to stand up, speak out, and fight hard on their behalf at every stage of a case.

Christina represents clients in all aspects of divorce and family related matters, including custody, visitation, child and spousal support, equitable distribution, and domestic violence proceedings. She brings both strategic advocacy and genuine compassion to highly sensitive cases, recognizing that family law disputes often involve the most important relationships in a client's life.

Christina is admitted to practice in all courts of the State of New York, as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Although she has previously represented clients throughout all five boroughs, Long Island, and Westchester County, she now focuses her practice exclusively in Suffolk and Nassau Counties. She has perfected appellate briefs and argued before the Appellate Division, Second Department on multiple occasions. She is a member of the New York State Bar, the Suffolk County Bar Association, and the Suffolk County Matrimonial Bar Association.

A dedicated advocate with a strong background in domestic violence matters, Christina is committed to protecting the rights and safety of vulnerable individuals while guiding clients through complex and emotionally charged legal situations. She understands that these cases demand both courage and care, and she delivers both.

Christina earned her Bachelor's degree, with honors, from Marymount Manhattan College, and her Juris Doctor from Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, where she was recognized with three CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for academic achievement. During law school, she completed a judicial externship with the late Honorable Leonard D. Wexler of the United States District Court, Eastern District of New York, gaining valuable insight into federal judicial decision making.

Christina has been recognized for both her professional excellence and her community impact. She received the Breaking Barriers Award from the College Initiative in 2012 and was selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2022 and 2023, an honor reserved for a select percentage of attorneys based on peer recognition and professional achievement.

Known for her client focused approach, Christina combines diligent advocacy with practical guidance, striving to achieve the best possible outcomes for her clients both in and out of the courtroom. While she is always willing to pursue resolution when it serves her client's interests, she is never afraid to take a case to trial and fight for the result her client deserves.

Beyond her professional work, Christina enjoys spending time with her dogs, boating, playing pickleball, and traveling. She is also passionate about drumming and figure skating, pursuits that reflect the same discipline and drive she brings to her practice.
