Thomas Hartin brings a decade of legal experience and a distinctive analytical perspective to every matrimonial matter he handles. With a background in engineering and training at some of the nation's most prestigious law firms, Thomas combines technical precision with the strategic instincts of a seasoned litigator, all in service of families navigating some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Thomas earned his engineering degree from Manhattan College in 2011, graduating in the top 10% of his class, before pursuing his Juris Doctor at Fordham University School of Law, which he received in 2016. Over the past ten years, he has worked at three of the top 100 law firms in the country, gaining exposure to complex, high-stakes matters and developing the skills needed to navigate even the most challenging legal disputes. He is admitted to practice in both New York and Pennsylvania.
Thomas focuses his practice exclusively on matrimonial and family law, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support and maintenance, equitable distribution of property, and orders of protection. This singular focus allows him to bring deep, specialized knowledge to every case, whether the matter calls for careful negotiation or aggressive courtroom advocacy.
At the core of Thomas's practice is a commitment to collaboration and resolving cases in the best interest of his clients. He believes that the most effective outcomes often come through thoughtful negotiation, strategic problem solving, and a clear eyed assessment of each client's goals. That said, Thomas is always prepared to take a case to court, and to trial, when litigation is the right path forward.

A lifelong New Yorker, Thomas grew up in Queens County and now resides in Nassau County with his wife, their two young children, and their husky. He represents clients throughout Long Island, with a particular focus on Nassau and Suffolk counties. Outside the office, Thomas is an avid outdoorsman who spends as much time as possible exploring, hiking, and enjoying time with his family.
